Privacy policy in English
This policy explains how PLAIADES processes personal data collected through the website, personal area, contact forms, newsletter and the purchase of courses and digital products.
Data controller
Data controller: PLAIADES (registered details, office and tax code must be completed before go-live). For privacy, support or information requests, you can write to plaiades@plaiades.it.
Data we process
We may process identification and contact details, account data, newsletter preferences, information about orders and products purchased or redeemed, messages sent to support, technical security information and data needed for the website to operate.
Sign in with Google
If you choose “Continue with Google”, Google makes basic account information available to the authentication service: your email address, name, unique identifier, email-verification status and, when available, profile picture. PLAIADES uses your email, name, identifier and verification status to create or connect your account and let you sign in. We do not use the profile picture or save it to your PLAIADES profile.
We do not access Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, YouTube data or any other Google Account content. We use the information received only for sign-in, account security, purchases, digital materials and customer support.
Storage and sharing
We store only your identifier, email address, name, sign-in method, verification status and account creation and update dates. A copy of this information may be kept in your browser to maintain your session. We do not store Google API access tokens or Google Account content.
The information may be processed only by service providers needed for authentication and infrastructure, email delivery and payments, as described in the “Service providers” section. The payment provider receives your email address only if you start a purchase. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising, advertising profiling, credit decisions or artificial-intelligence model training. We may disclose it when required by law or by a competent authority.
Retention, deletion and revocation
We keep profile information while your account is active or for as long as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account from the personal area. Completed orders may be retained for administrative, tax or legal purposes. You can also revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account connections.
PLAIADES's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Purposes and legal bases
- Creating and managing accounts, authentication and platform security.
- Managing purchases, payments, access to digital materials and after-sales support.
- Managing membership applications, decisions, the first fee and member records.
- Sending transactional emails, such as account confirmation, password reset and access to materials.
- Sending the newsletter only when the user has subscribed or enabled the relevant preference.
- Meeting tax, accounting and administrative obligations and protecting the controller's rights.
Service providers
We use providers that process data on our behalf to deliver the service: Google for authentication and infrastructure, Stripe and PayPal for payments, and Resend for email delivery. They receive only the data needed for the requested service and process it according to their respective roles, agreements and security measures.
For physical goods we retain the delivery-address snapshot; for membership we retain the application, declarations, decisions and first-fee records for the applicable administrative and legal periods.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe or PayPal, depending on the selected method. PLAIADES does not store complete payment-card details; it receives the technical and status information needed to confirm the order and provide access to purchased materials.
Newsletter
Newsletter subscription is optional. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and users can also change their preference from the personal area.
Cookies and local technologies
The website uses preferences stored in the browser to remember technical choices, the session and cookie consent. Non-essential cookies or tools are enabled only according to the choices made through the banner.
Retention
We retain data for as long as needed to provide the service, meet administrative and tax obligations, protect the parties' rights and comply with the law. Newsletter data is retained while the subscription remains active or until an unsubscribe request is made.
Your rights
To the extent provided by applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. You can send requests to plaiades@plaiades.it.
